Funny girl

I love checking on Jenna before going to bed and finding something like this...

This made us laugh so hard we had to run out of her room to keep from waking her up!
We are working on Jenna staying in her room and not coming out after we say goodnight. But that doesn't mean she can't stay up and continue to play in her room! She usually always puts her glasses back on, but the towel was a new one :)
Another funny thing I want to remember is Jenna and her socks. She likes to sleep with socks, unless its bath night. So the next day when she is getting dressed, instead of changing her socks she just adds the new ones on top of the old. If that makes sense. She thinks its hilarious and tries to get out the door for school with wearing two pairs of socks. Normally I catch her and we have a good laugh. But tonight Chad sees Jenna taking off her socks to reveal another pair underneath. He asks her about it and she says with a smile, "Shh, don't tell Mom." What a little stinker!

And it wouldn't be a blog post without a new craft pic :) Another item off my "wanting to do for forever" list. I love the popular FHE boards with the tags, but since our family doesn't have enough names to fill such a board I went with a dry erase version.
I toyed with the chalkboard idea, but I ended up with an extra frame from another project. It is the perfect size. Now we just have to figure out where to hang it!

Good Morning!

This post is dedicated to my cousin Jill who is the queen of Bed-head!! (Love you Jilly)

Leah wakes up every morning with some sweet bed-head!
This mornings was especially fun :)
She is a tummy sleeper and so she normally has some crazy red creases on her face to match.
Clear today :)

-Guess I should have put the mass posts warning here. I'm really done now!

9 months old!

(Get ready for some mass posting. Make sure to scroll down a bit!)

Leah turned 9 months old on the 6th! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. This past month she has become more of a little girl than a baby.
She weighs 19.1 lbs and is 27.2 in. tall. Funny side note: Jenna weighed 19 lbs at 1 yr.!

Some of Leah's latest and greatests--started clapping and loves to clap along when singing pat-a-cake. She is sitting really well and taking big girl baths. She loves her baths and splashes pretty much the whole time. I think she would splash all day if I would let her :)

Leah loves pretty much all foods. It's been fun transitioning to small chunks of fruits and veggies. I love watching her work her little fingers, picking up the bits. Such a big girl!!
We've been having some nice sunny days lately. We finally get to be outside playing in the yard!
Being silly :)
This was one of the first times playing outside for Leah.
We are ALL ready for the sun to stay for awhile!

Job chart

This has been months in the making and it is finally done! Hooray!!
I originally saw this idea linked on a friends blog back in Dec. Then a little later saw another chore chart recommendation. I shared these with my friend, JoLynn, and we have been brainstorming ever since. We pulled ideas that we liked from both sites.
I love the magnet concept. This first link gives you a step by step tutorial on making your board and magnets. She gives great instructions :)
For my board I used a cabinet door! Jenna loves it and has been asking everyday if it is finished yet. Today was our first day using it and it is wonderful!!

Mothers Day and Easter dresses

Chad and the girls gave me the best Mothers day.
I love them so much and am so happy that I get to be their Mom!

Here they are in their Easter outfits.
I seriously bought this fabric years ago, with plans to make a dress for Jenna.
And now I got to make two!!!
These two constantly make me smile.
Leah lights up when Jenna is around and gives her the biggest laughs!
Jenna is tickling Leah in this picture on the left!!
Big girl standing, Leah loves to stand (holding/leaning on to something of course!)
Jenna, always striking a ballerina like pose!!

I have to add that I am a bit obsessed with Leah's shoes. I'm now thinking I have to make a pair to go with every outfit she has. The pattern is from MakeitandLoveit. I have been wanting to make these booties ever since I found out I was having another girl, they are the cutest things ever!!!

Teacher Appreciation

Super cute idea for Teacher appreciation week.
Idea found at OurBestBites
There is also a Mother's day version that is really fun.
Jenna and I had a blast cleaning, decorating and filling the cans for her teachers.
