Summer Reading Finisher

Jenna finished her summer reading chart through the Library today.

You can see the chart in the back, for every 20 min. read you colored in one section. Finishing with 1,000 min. read!!

The halfway prize was the yellow notebook, with the finisher prize being the floaty pen.

We celebrated as a family with Slurpee's!

10 years!!

Today is our 10th wedding anniversary!

Originally we thought we would celebrate with a diving trip. But then last Dec. we found out we would be celebrating with a new baby. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Happy Anniversary babe, there will be lots of time in the future for that dive trip :)

Leah D'Lonna Jergensen

Little Ladybugs all ready for bed. Let the matching begin :)

Jenna has already been such a big helper. She wants to be the one to get little Leah her diapers, paci, runs to tell us when she is crying (even if we are right next to the baby), you probably get the idea :) She also wants to continually hold her and loves it when Leah grabs and holds onto her finger.

I get a little emotional watching the love and bond grow between these two and it is only the beginning!

Surprise!

Baby Leah suprised us all by arriving yesterday at 37 weeks at 7:40 weighing 7 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches. Mom and baby are both healthy and doing well. Pics and details to come.

More fun with Cousins!

Chad's sister Jenni, her husband Mike and their kids Brandon and Taylor just visited us from AZ. Our weather was a nice break for them :)

We had a lot of fun playing tour guide as we explored Seattle and the surrounding areas. Jenna had a blast with her cousins, Taylor is about 6 months younger and Brandon is a year older than Jenna. She has a lot of cousins on the Jergensen side, all close to her age. It makes for fun family get togethers.

Here are some highlights from their visit:

Jenna now says that she is "lonely", she had a fun filled summer visiting family on both sides. But that lonely feeling wont be around for too much longer :)

Thanks again Mike and Jenni for coming to visit and for all of your generosity and help!

We will now have to plan a trip to visit you guys in AZ, just not in the summer. I don't think we could handle one of your summers :)

Pregnancy update

Hooray we are in August!! At times I felt like we would never get here. The baby countdown is now under 30 days, CRAZY!! :)

Here is a little update:

36 wks and going to the doctor every week now.

At today's appt. we found out that I am dilated to almost a 3 and 60% effaced!

My blood pressure is still good. My feet no longer look like my feet, the ever attractive swelling has set in. But for now, no preclampsia :) Baby is still measuring big, but they won't induce just for that. So, its looking like baby could come at anytime. Keeping my fingers crossed that I keep progressing and not all of a sudden stop.

I am extremely nervous about going into labor on my own. Even though this is my second, it feels like my first since I was induced with Jenna. I really feel like I have no clue what I am doing or what to expect.

On the other hand I cannot explain how excited I am to meet this little girl. It's been a long time coming!
