This was something cute I wanted to remember from our trip to the tulip festival. Sometimes there would be a random red tulip in the section of yellow tulips. Jenna came across one and said "He is so lonely. Where are his friends?" She would then say "Let's go find his friends" When we came across some more red tulips or another lone one she would say "Here are his friends!" She was always so concerned for those lone tulips. It was so sweet.
Also, she is becoming quite social out in public. She wants to go and say hi to every other little kid she sees. We were trying to leave the farm and she said "I just need to go say hi to those kids over there" They were some older boys (10 or 11) that she hadn't even seen until right then! Silly girl!
One last thing, turning 4 was a very big deal! Now most things are "Mom, I can do it, I'm four now" Sometimes it is said sweetly and others a little more sassy. She is growing up too fast!

Jenna's very own slide show
Jenna just loves taking pictures. We gave Jenna our old camera, since we got a new one for Christmas. Here is her very first slide show :) Some are fuzzy, but I still wanted to include them. It was fun playing a diff. role and having her takes pics of us! As you can see, she loves to get right up close to her subject. She was getting better at standing back a bit toward the end. Our little photographer, we love her!

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
Today we visited the Tulip Festival up in Mt. Vernon. It's a little less than a 2 hr. drive north for us. I have always wanted to go, they hold the festival every April. This year we finally made the trip. It was gorgeous! It was fun to drive around and see all the fields full of tulips or daffodils. We stopped by a local farm and got some yummy ice cream too. And it happened to be close to the air field where there was an air show. So that was a nice suprise. Jenna loved being a photographer and took a lot of great pics. She had the cutest squat when she would take the pictures, so funny! A group of ladies asked to take a picture of Jenna taking pics of the flowers, they thought she was pretty cute too :) What a great family activity, I highly recommend it to those in the area.

Happy Easter!
Coloring eggs the night before. Jenna writing in her Journal, Gma Moore gave her.
Happy girl! You'd never know that we'd just arrived home from our 4 hr. drive from Spokane. It helped that she slept 3 of those 4 hrs.
Pics to come of our Spring break over at Gma and Gpa Moore's.

General Conference
I really enjoyed all of the talks given during General Conference today. I always enjoy General Conference, but as Jenna gets older I am able to pay more attention and really listen to the messages. The "They said it, Bingo" with the rest of Jenna's listening packet probably helped a lot too :)
I just wanted to highlight one of the many items I enjoyed. In Sunday morning's session, President Thomas S. Monson spoke about how in these uncertain, troubling times we need to be a cheerful, joyful, hopeful people. He closed by saying, "The future is as bright as your faith." I just loved that. With everything that is going on in the world these days, it's easy to get overwhelmed. But, as Latter day Saints we have been given many tools and blessings that help us to have that brighter look on the world. I like that positive way of looking at our lives.
I am so grateful for the renewed desires that I get from General Conference. I hope everyone had a wonderful Conference weekend.

One reason I love having a dog
So having a dog has not been easy for me. However, moments like these make it all worth it. Today Jenna played outside with Emily for 2 hrs.!! It was wonderful. Thankfully the weather was nice so it made being outside enjoyable. The pic was taken through a window, so it's not the best. But I didn't want to disturb the bonding :)
