Cousins

Last week Jenna had winter break from school. So we packed up and headed over to Gpa and Gma's!
We had a great time as usual. I was especially grateful that Leah got to spend more time getting to know her Grandparents and Great Grandparents. And cousins of course :)
Here are some pics of Leah with her cousin Sydney. Sydney is 11 months old. We are looking forward to them becoming best buds!
As you can imagine, trying to get a pic of these two both smiling was nearly impossible. But looking through them all, even the blurry ones, made me smile. They were so funny together, taking each others toy or my favorite Sydney grabbing Leah's ear. I had to share a little slideshow of them, enjoy!

Be mine

It's still the month of February so I'm not too behind with these pics :)

Here is the Valentine that Jenna gave out to her class mates this year.
Super cute and easy!
Jenna and Daddy with the heart shaped cake we made for him.
Red velvet with homemade cream cheese frosting sprinkled with pink coconut, YUM!!
Jenna and her valentines from Mom and Dad
Leah was loving her valentine balloon as well :)
Our little sweethearts

And a new little trick for Leah. She takes after her big sister who did the same thing when she was that age! Socks don't have a chance, they are off just as fast as I put them on. She just wants those toes free for playing with or for sucking!

Christmas catch up

Here is a peak at our Christmas morning....a little late :)
The two main things on her wish list to Santa- Rapunzel and a walking horse!
Thank you Santa
Off picture of Jenna, but the only one with her gift she made for Chad and I. A ceramic snowman that she made at school. It was hard to do, but she did a good job keeping it a secret.
We love it!
A dive flag blanket for Chad. Personalized for his height :)
And here is Leah on her first Christmas!

6 months!

Really I cannot believe that she is already 6 months old!
I keep thinking I must have counted the months wrong. But no, my baby girl is growing up :)
She is getting cuter and cuter by the day and we just love her growing personality.

Her latest favorites are:
Peek-a-boo
her toes
reaching/grabbing for everything and anything within her grasp
laughing for her big sister
and MOM!
Ok, so I have always been on the favorite list. But lately, she has begun to cry when I leave the room. Or if Chad is holding her and she sees me, she will wiggle and reach for me. Sure makes getting things done a little more tricky. Thank goodness for the baby hawk!
Another note-Leah rolled over for the first time during Christmas break. And then after arriving back home continued to show off her new skill. But since the beg. of Jan. has refused to do it again. Until a few days ago, she reminded us that she can do it but just chooses not to.
Funny little girl :)
Just couldn't resist matching sweaters! One of Jenna's favorite things as well.
Pretty in pink
And I have to include an update on the older sweetheart in the family.
She continues to love Kindergarten.
Her class recently were scientists , doing diff. experiments with liquids and solids. Which Jenna loved and then would recreate at home.
She now tells me that she wants to be teacher when she grows up. She wants to help others learn to count and write!
I got to help out in her classroom a week ago, and really had a great time. I even got to stay for recess, Jenna's favorite part. She had to show me everything she plays on and introduce me to all of her friends!
Here she is being goofy with a cube she made from school.
She is almost 6, which is something else I cannot believe! She is becoming quite independent, which can be a little trying at times. But its been fun to watch her grow, learn and figure things out on her own. She just got her first pair of "tie" shoes. She learned about a year ago, but didn't need new shoes at the time. She shows everyone her ties whenever she has the chance!

Both girls keep us busy and on our toes, but we wouldn't have it any other way :)
