Hoppy Easter!

Here is our eventful Easter weekend! Saturday afternoon we had an egg hunt with our friends the Singleys! Jenna and Jane had a great time and their sweet baby Grey slept the whole time! After the girls found all of the eggs, they of course wanted to eat the candy inside them! Then that night we colored real eggs! Jenna really enjoyed playing with the hard boiled eggs and so consequently most of them were a little smashed!! Easter morning was fun but Jenna ate way too much candy! She was a little wild at church but actually was very good during the Easter program! Jenna looked very cute in the dress that I made for her! I got ambitious, but had a great time using my new sewing machine for the first time! And of course, she loved wearing new shoes as well! She is obsessed with shoes! We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Jenna's first haircut!

Jenna had her first hair cut last Saturday! I took her with me to my friend Katie and we both got hair cuts! We brought our portable dvd player, hoping that a movie would distract her, but no such luck! Thankfully Katie had a few candy cane sticks, they worked like a charm! We just had to make sure the candy kept coming so that she would sit still! :) its a good thing Grandpa Rick is a dentist!
It was a little hard for me to have to get Jenna's hair cut, but she is so much happier with her shorter hair. Plus, she looks so darn cute with short hair! and a lot more grown up!!

a little taste of the birthday party!

Here is a little video from the birthday party! Balloons are so much fun!! We still have all of the decorations and balloons out, so Jenna is still in birthday heaven!

Our ballerina princess is 3!!

Jenna is 3!! We had our first friends birthday party and it was lots of fun! Jenna had her 3 closest friends over, Jane Singley, Keira Jones and Raven Knibbs. The girls danced around as different animals, played ring a round the rosies, duck duck goose which turned into run around and chase eachother!! Then we had cupcakes, fruit, star pb&j sandwiches with lemonade and swirly straws! All of Jenna's favorites, of course! We had tutus, tiaras and wands for all the girls, who looked so adorable jumping and dancing around like ballerinas! I went a little crazy with the planning and decorating but it was lots of fun for me too! And yes, I turned our fireplace into a mini dance studio! What can I say?!! After her party was over she asked me, "Ballerina party again?" unfortunatly I don't recharge with energy as quickly as she does! :) I think we will try to alternate the friend and family parties!! But, it was all totally worth it, Jenna talked about it all day and continues to wear her ballerina slippers ever since! It definitely falls under the category of best party ever!! but I am a little bias!

Well, I can't believe our little girl is three but every year becomes my new favorite stage! She says the funniest things and does the cutest things, I just love her to pieces! A big thank you to everyone who came to the party and made her birthday so much fun!

I'm wearing green!!

Happy St. Patricks day! (belated)

Jenna helped me make shamrock shaped cookies, which we frosted green! We then for family night brought them over to a few friends! Jenna kept telling me all day, "I'm wearing green!!" I love that she already gets the idea of St. Patty's day!
