Lady Tremaine

Today I was trying to get Jenna to take a nap. She kept coming upstairs and so I again told her that she needed to stay in her room and take a nap. Jenna said O.K. and then looked me right in the face and said "I never go back on my word" and proceeded down the stairs! It totally caught me offguard, where has she heard that? Then immediately I knew, she was quoting Cinderella's wicked stepmother!! Jenna loves Cinderella and practically watches it everyday! She loves to sing "A Dream is a Wish your heart makes" the Disney Channel stars version, of course! (you can watch the music video on the bonus features of the DVD)

Bears Up Close

Here is a clip of the bears playing in the water at the Zoo! They were right up against the glass at times! It was pretty cool!

Another great Zoo trip!

Yesterday we went to the Zoo with my sister Lexi, who is visting for the week! She wanted to see the whole zoo, which we have never done with Jenna in one visit! I wasn't sure what to expect, but Jenna and Lexi were troopers and we got everything in!

Above are some highlights of our trip! Every time we go different animals put on quite the show, this time it was the Bears and the Gorillas! The bears got in the water and were play fighting, which was fun to watch so close! Then we got to see the new baby gorilla! So cute!

Jenna kept saying the funniest things. There were rain puddles on the trail and I told Jenna to try and avoid them, she loves to jump into them! So she would run down the trail and when she came to a puddle she would run around it yelling "Avoid it, Avoid it!!

Then when it was time for lunch I asked her if she was ready for lunch, her response "Thats a great idea!" I guess she was really hungry, she normally is not a big eater!

Towards the end of the trip Jenna would just stop walking and say "I'm tired"! It was really cute, but she doesn't like strollers anymore so my sister and I took turns carrying her! This went on and off through out the rest of the trip! We are all pretty tired by then!

But we had a great time visiting the zoo!!

potty update

Just a little potty update! After Jenna had finished her first chart I made another one with 25 squares on it, well she finished it in 3 days!!! (her first chart of 20 took her a week and a half) I guess I should have put more squares on it! So, she got another prize! She thankfully lost intrest in keeping track with stickers and was just excited to wash her hands afterwards and use her new step stool!
Jenna also is no longer afraid of public toilets! Yeah! Chad was out with Jenna one Sat. morning and wouldn't you know it she went twice in public toilets for him!! I guess it just took someone else having her do it!
Jenna also made it completely dry on our trip to and from Spokane! I now know where every possible bathroom is on that stretch of I-90! :) She will still have an accident from time to time but she is getting really good. She has even started to do everything by herself!!
She is becoming quite the indepent girl! And I love it!!

Big potty girl!!

Jenna just finished her first potty chart!! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! After 10 times of going in the toilet she got to go on a carousel ride and now that she has reached 20 she gets to go to the toy store and pick something out!! We started about a week and half ago, but the first full week I wasn't very consistent. I also realized that pull-ups were confusing Jenna, so now we only use them at night. This week has been really good though, aside from the fact that public toilets freak Jenna out! She refuses to use them, which of course result in accidents! She can only hold it for so long! :) this has happended only twice this week though! if anyone has advice, please help!!! Since she has figured out how to "hold it", she will hold it for hours!! Now I give her lots of chocolate milk, which has really helped! I am very proud of her, every day she gets better! But, I have to say this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do!! I will just leave it at that!!
